While Lux has been productive for the Dodgers in his career, Floyd believes that Reds manager Terry Francona could have brought Lux in to push some of the Reds players to be better.

The young and talented Reds team has underperformed over the last couple of seasons, and Floyd believes this might be a move to get more out of them this season.

Lux came into the league in 2019 with the Dodgers and has played all five seasons of his MLB career with the team.

In 2024, Lux played 139 games where he batted .251 with 10 home runs, 50 RBIs, and a .703 OPS.

The Reds likely won’t have a spot for Lux to play every day, but he could have been brought in to fight for a starting spot and stir up some competition in the clubhouse.
